Paul has discovered the power of communication through words! A couple of weeks ago I was getting ready to feed him and said "num num" like I always do right before he eats, but I was totally taken back when my baby responded by saying "num num" back! It was weird and exciting at the same time and I kept saying "Yes! This is num num!"
He says "num num" everytime he sees food now. It's pretty cute. He can also say "mama", "dada" and we're working on "bye bye". I love it!
Here's a video of his inchworm skills. It's not exactly "crawling" yet, but he can still get anywhere he wants. Please ignore his severely clashing, plaid-shirt, striped-pants outfit. We switched his uncomfortable slacks for comfy sweats after church.
I love the carefree attitude that comes with the realization that he can get somewhere. :0) Do you remember when you kids were young, the minute we got home from church, the dresses came off and you all ate in your slips, except for Ryan, of course who wore an undershirt?
ReplyDeleteAhhh!!! What a good boy!!!
ReplyDeleteWeren't Paul and Ethan born around the same time? What's his birthday? Ethan's been doing the same kind of scooting stuff, and it's so fun. It's amazing to watch them figure it all out. Paul is pretty stinking cute.
ReplyDeleteYes mom! Don't forget the dancing around the living room to the Saturday's Warrior soundtrack. Those are such good memories. :)
ReplyDeleteLola, Paul was born July 1st. I agree. This is such a fun age!
Ethan was July 11 (our wedding anniversary, national free slurpee day, national cheer up the lonely day, and world population day, haha). It's fun reading about Paul since they are basically the same age!
